Title: Stakeout

Series: (Aurora Sky: Vampire Hunter #2.5)
Publication date: January 14th 2014
Genres: New Adult, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy

Noel Harper got a second chance at life when the government recruited her as an undercover vampire informant. Since the day they brought her back from the good-as-dead, she has wanted to prove herself worthy.

When a member of her investigative unit is murdered, Noel is paired up with a vampire hunter named Dante to spy on a suspect in Fairbanks. The problem? They’re not the only ones on stakeout. Taking down murderous vampires is one thing. Dealing with the past is another. But this time, Noel isn’t letting fear win. She’s calling in help from the other side and learns a shocking secret along the way.

(STAKEOUT is an Aurora Sky: Vampire Hunter novella told from Noel Harper’s POV. Approximately 40,000 words.)

There are three characters in this series that I love:

Aurora - She is just so damn cool.  I never thought she would be as bad ass as she is now.

Dante - God this guy is sexy... I don't know what it is about him that I love so much, but I honestly think this guy beats out Fane any day, any time, any page.

She is kind of the anomaly in the group.  Withdrawn, quiet, and a little strange in her attire, she draws unwanted attention to herself in school. But she is as cool as a cucumber.  I was so curious about her, that I love that I got the opportunity to get a  one way pass into her mind in Stakeout.

It is a parallel story to Book 2, told from Noel's perspective. It is really not repetitive, as Aurora was carrying on her own storyline in the second installment, and we really didn't know what was going down on Noel's side.  But besides the parallel plotline from Noel's perspective, we also get to see a bit about Noel. What makes her tick, what sets her off, and how she came to be an informant for this secret agency.

And you know what? Noel is really intriguing. She may not be a hunter, but she is just as fierce - whether she is dealing with vampires or just some nasty cheerleaders in her high school's hallway.

F&ck, I love her now more than ever. I think  Aurora has some competition on my love podium.

But not Dante... Sorry Fane. You just don't compare in my books. Team Dante, all the way, 100%.
