Book Cover of the Month - January

It's the first book cover post of  2018, and I could not be happier to continue this monthly feature. It is definitely something I look forward to. Browsing through book covers of newly published books for that one (or more) cover art that makes me stop in my tracks, and I get to share it with you guys. I enjoy reading opinions and your own favorites, so I encourage feedback!

So what covers drew my eye this month? (Click on book covers to be taken to their page for more information)

This cover reminds me of the "Beauty and the Beast" fairy tale.  I love the red of the flowers too; it just grabs your attention.

Love the colors of course, and though it looks simple, I found myself enlarging the image so I could look at the details a lot more closely.

I am a sucker for beautiful colors that compliment my decor, since I hope one day soon to have a beautiful wall unit to display my most beautiful books. And I wouldn't hesitate to make this one a part of that collection. This book cover is comforting in it's color scheme. It reminds me of the best parts of fall.

Alas, the point is to choose one book cover to rule them all.

Though the above three covers are all very beautiful, I do have a softer spot for one in particular.

May I also add that I CANNOT wait to read this one, as I absolutely LOVED the first book of the series, Wintersong. It also has a gorgeous cover, and I am very much looking forward to purchasing hardcopies of both to display on my bookshelf. I can even see myself reading them again and again.

So what are your thoughts on the book cover choices this month? Do you prefer a different cover of the three, or would you agree with my choice? Did a different book completely grab your attention this month? Let me know in the comments!

Happy Reading!!

  1. I've been seeing Shadowsong everywhere. It's a spectacular cover and I like purple. The first book in the series has a pretty cover too.

    1. It deserves to be everywhere! I can't wait to get my hands on this one and read it. I just read Wintersong not that long ago and it was fabulous, if you enjoy YA Fantasy. It really reminded me of the movie Labyrinth. The cover of the first book I found to be very visually complimentary to the book and its title too.

We love hearing from you so don't be shy!
