We met at a wedding. He was hot. And I’d been in a year’s drought.
He smiled. We got drunk. We flirted. We hooked up. I left early the next morning without saying goodbye. It was only meant to be a one night stand. I didn’t want the awkward morning after moment. Not at all.
Then I went home for the weekend. And he was there. Sitting on the couch chatting to my dad. Turns out he was more than just a stranger. Turns out that my one night stand was about to cause a whole heap of trouble. Turns out that it never just stops with one night.

The synopsis alone made me jump at the chance to read this book. It seemed like there’d be so much drama, and I guess there was, just not the kind of drama I was expecting. The prologue really drew me in, made me not want to put the book down because I had to know what was going on. But after finding out what was going on I felt a little uneasy. I really felt like I couldn't respect Liv or Xander for the matter. I couldn't wrap my head around and be okay with the fact she was sleeping with her sister’s fiancé. I know by the end of the book you find out why Xander and Gabby (Liv’s sister) are actually engaged, but it still made it hard to read about. For me no matter what relationship I have with my sister I would never do that. It’s just icky, for lack of a better word.
How on earth did nobody in her family suspect anything going on between Liv and Xander, with them doing nothing to hide their sexual relationship?! So many times they wandered off into a different room or just around the corner from her family, or just in plain sight at a club, and kissed or touched or had sex. Or when he acted like a jealous boyfriend over Liv, his soon to be sister in law! It made it hard to be realistic. The sex scenes were good, very sexy and full of detail but again I couldn't really get past the fact that she was doing all this with her sister's fiancé.
So what started off making me jump to read this book, and then capturing me in a few paragraphs, really let me down hard… I would have to give this book a 1 star review, although I liked the way it was written, and it probably worked nicely in certain scenes to have both a female and male perspective, I did not like the storyline and how this went about.
